Gamecock reserve OL Jordan Davis hitting the transfer portal
Nov. 30, 2022

South Carolina has its first announced transfer portal entrant since the end of the 2022 regular season. Reserve offensive lineman Jordan Davis revealed Wednesday on Twitter that he intends to transfer from USC with three years of eligibility remaining. “There are no amount of words for me to thank coach Beamer and his staff,” Davis wrote. “My experience at South Carolina has been the best experience I could ask for.”

The Georgia native was rated a three-star recruit, the No. 124 offensive tackle and the No. 1,490 player in the 2021 class, per the 247Sports Composite. Davis chose South Carolina over offers from Georgia Tech, Kansas, Kent State and Akron. He did not appear in a game during his two years in Columbia and redshirted in 2021.
