The Gamecocks’ full schedule for the 2023 season

On Tuesday night, South Carolina learned what its complete 2023 football schedule will look like as the SEC released the 2023 conference slate on SEC Now. Gamecocks have the usual 8 games SEC slate.

The Southeastern Conference announced next year’s football schedule on Tuesday night via the SEC Network. Among the highlights: USC kicks off SEC play at Georgia on Sept. 16. and The Gamecocks close the season with four straight home games including a rare November game against Kentucky.

South Carolina draws Mississippi State as its SEC West crossover opponent in a game to be played Sept. 23 at Williams-Brice Stadium. The Gamecocks and Bulldogs have only played three times since 2011, with South Carolina winning the 2011 and 2013 iterations of the matchup. MSU won the last time the two teams met in Starkville in 2016 Will Muschamp’s first year in Columbia.

South Carolina's nonconference schedule will include games against North Carolina, Jacksonville State, Furman, and Clemson. The South Carolina-UNC game will be played in Charlotte on Sept. 2 and will be a rematch of the 2021 Duke’s Mayo Bowl, which the Gamecocks won.
