Bruce Shingler leaving for Maryland

He's from that area and gets a fresh start with a lateral move as opposed to risking going down with the SS Frank Martin next year.

Better to know sooner rather than later that he doesn't want to be here anymore.

Best of luck to him.

Straight-up, Frank needs to hire a player/coach-type person to groom leadership skills into players.  Someone who can go toe-to-toe with guys in practice and hold them accountable.

Someone like Sindarius or Duane.

IMHO, Steele will make a great coach.  Recruiting-wise, he's quite green.  He'll have a LOT to learn and catch up on when it comes to building relationships with HS student-athletes.  But when it comes to on-the-court knowledge, and relating to the players, he's on point.  I expect to see good things from Brian Steele's influence as one of the bench coaching staff.

 
Sin is making too much money in the NBA, but I would have said either him or Duane as player/coach types.
