4 star LB Skai Moore (6-3 210) of Fort Lauderdale committed to Rutgers in early December, but USC offered him Saturday and he plans to set an official visit with the Gamecocks. "I talked to coach (Grady) Brown last Saturday and he offered," Moore said. "He said there is a spot open for me for linebacker and I have a good opportunity to fight for a spot as a freshman. After watching the game (Tuesday, I saw how their defensive plays and it kind of intrigued me a little. I'm going to call coach Brown (Thursday) and hopefully schedule for me to get up there." Moore has taken an official visit to Vanderbilt and is still talking with the Commodores. He is scheduled to visit Rutgers January 26th. "My commitment is pretty strong but my coach wants me to keep my options open a little bit to make sure it's the right fit for me," he said. This season Moore had 105 tackles with 6.5 sacks, 4 interceptions returning two for touchdowns, forced two fumbles and and broke up six passes.

Moore looking at four

01/12/13

4 star LB Skai Moore (6-3 210) of Ft. Lauderdale said Friday he's looking at four programs now that he's decommitted from Rutgers. Moore cited USC, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Arkansas as the four under consideration. He has visited Vanderbilt and will visit USC next weekend. He has not set any other official visits. "I'm open right now," Moore said. "I'm not going to make any irrational decisions. I'll take my time with it and make a family decision." Moore has been talking with USC recruiters Kirk Botkin and Grady Brown and was told he would be used in the way DeVonte Holloman was used. "They seem like really good guys and I'm looking forward to getting there and checking things out," he said. "There's a chance to get in there and play pretty early, so I'm excited." Moore does not have a favorite or a decision timetable and could go all the way to Signing Day.
