The South Carolina Gamecocks begin the third year of the Shane Beamer Era in non-conference fashion when they travel to Bank of America Stadium (74,867) in Charlotte, N.C., to face the No. 21/20 North Carolina Tar Heels out of the Atlantic Coast Conference in the Duke’s Mayo Classic on Saturday, Sept. 2. Very disappointing to say the least. Many weaknesses exposed. I need to vent.

• O line, tackles in particular, were humiliated
• DBs were totally lost in space
• Clearly we are thin and inexperienced at both those positions
• Gene Chizik absolutely ate Dowell Loggains' lunch
• Juju is not a short yardage, pound it up the gut RB
• Marshawn Loyd, Jordan Burch, Jahiem Bell - damn you
• We may have too many missing pieces and parts to get it done in '23. Truly hope I'm wrong but hard to feel optimistic tonight.
