It sure was good to see Gray decide to sign with us. He had offers from Ohio State, LSU, Tenn, and Clemson among others. He is the #1 ranked IOL in the country. Said Beamer was the main reason he wants to play here. Hope we have a couple more surprises the next couple days.

I think Briles is going to get some attention on the offensive side just based on name recognition...so there may be some additional opportunities than we would have had with Shula. Ultimately a lot will boil down to how much NIL we have to spend.

Very encouraging for a change. I would rate this as a homerun hire(s).

If this group can't move the program forward I don't know what the answer is.

I would also like to believe that "if" Sellers isn't going to declare for the draft that this will be an incentive for him to stay. It would seem like from what I've read and what I know about Briles offense is that it's a very good fit for his skill set.

I agree.
Considering Sellers is already making over $3.7 Million right now, he could stay one more year with hopes of getting a really huge paycheck as a top pick in the draft next year.
Hopefully, with the new staff, we may see our team really become a winning program that people are afraid to play. We finally have an OC with tons of experience and proven success. I like Elliot, but Clements is a really experienced OL coach just like Drayton is a huge pickup for the RB coach.
I know in the past, Beamer had good intentions, but those ex-NFL guys just were not getting it done here. Now we are getting coaches with predominantly college experience.
And with Beamer bringing in 5-stars and lots of talent from the portal, things are looking very good here.
