Nov. 20, 2022
The early line is out for the latest edition of the annual South Carolina-Clemson game but the fact that the Gamecocks are underdogs is probably no mind to Gamecock football fans still celebrating what was one of the best wins in school history last night.
For those who do care about such things, Clemson opened Sunday afternoon as a two-touchdown (or more) favorite over the Gamecocks. Circa Sports, which Gamecock Central usually references, has the line at Clemson -16 while Fan Duel lists the early line as Clemson -14, according to Vegas Insider. Circa Sports lists the over/under at 47 1/2 points.
Gamecocks hammered Tennessee 63-38 Saturday night at Williams-Brice, giving Shane Beamer a marquee win and dashing the Vols’ playoffs hopes in the process. The win improved the Gamecocks to 7-4 overall and 4-4 in the SEC this season.
Clemson defeated Miami 40-10 on Saturday night. The Tigers are 10-1 overall and 8-0 in ACC play. Clemson has won seven straight against the Gamecocks.
