This program is in deep trouble. We were tossed around like rag dolls last night. Their QB outplayed our "projected 1st round pick" last night. It's now a trend we're seeing.
Look at how well Coached Vandy was/is with their roster full of 3* players.
Look at how well Pavia played vs how Sellers plays. Pavia executed plays to perfection at a high rate of speed, determination and a damn near reckless attitude.
We seem soft both mentally and physically. It seems like every 2-3 plays we have someone lying on the field. We continue to make stupid plays and stupid mistakes in every game.
The play calling is simply baffling. We insist on running when football strategy dictates we should throw and vice a versa. The first and goal at the 2 was a prime example. Put Addaway in there and run straight ahead 4 times. We either score a TD or they take over at the half foot line.
We can't tackle for shit, I swear my 90 y/o mother could run up the middle for 3 yards on this D.
That many penalties is simply inexcusable. What do we do when we're at practice? I texted my brother at one point and posed the question, "Do we even practice tackling?" He responded, "I hope not." Think about his response for a minute.
If Beamer is going to continue coaching here he's going to have to make some drastic changes in the staff. The first place to start better be the OC. Scoring 20 points a game isn't going to win you many games in today's college football world.
I'm not sure we can win 5 games at this point and this is Beamer's 5th year which should be a "breakout" year. It's a damn shame what we put on the field last night. We have talent up and down the roster and don't know what to do with it.
