Agree, going after family is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. That being said a D1 coach needs thick skin, if you can’t handle message board criticism your in the wrong line of work.
I also think him to Nebraska may have been cooking for a few weeks and the bluster about Satterfield...
That would be the best outcome, an amicable parting of ways with no hard feelings. Hopefully Beamer learns and goes for a simpler offense the next go around
The offense looked Ok, still a lot of inexplicable runs up the center for 0 gain. I think he’s working on securing another year, but I wouldn’t sign him to a multi year contract.
IMO best outcome is he goes to Nebraska and we move on to someone who doesn’t take 8 games to catch on.
You do understand how sports forums work right? People voice their ideas and opinions. If we all just shut up and trusted the coaches, what’s the point of having a discussion forum?
My opinion is that 2 well called games in two (almost) full seasons doesn’t give me much confidence in...
Glad you are optimistic, 2 well called games out of 20+ don’t give me much confidence. See how they do against Clemson before leaping to conclusions. Of course if they lay another egg blame the players, not the OC with zero previous experience.
Let’s see what he does vs Clemson and evaluate the season as a whole.
When you say the plays called we’re the same, what exactly do you mean it seems like we saw more wildcat and used DK a lot more against Tenn then Florida and either ut’s D line is just awful or the blocking scheme was different.
One game does not make or break a coach, if anything it should cause you to question why the vast difference between say the Florida and mizzou games and this last game and the bowl game. If you know what works, why does he, if he called plays in both games have such different results?
Where was this play calling all year? Spence looked like the heisman hopeful he was billed to be. If this was Satt calling plays and he can do it again next week, put me back in his corner.
I wish I had your optimism, we’re big underdogs (20 points or more) this week and I expect to be underdogs, again by multiple TD’s next week.
The Satterfield experiment didn’t work, it’s ok, accept it and move forward.
