Mom was a Stage 2 DCIS survivor. They caught it soon enough that she didn't chemo and radiation, but it can come back in some cases, so she elected to have a dual mastectomy done to remove the other breast as well. Her mom had it when she was in her 50s, so she had worried about it happening...
