Defensively, Illinois schemed to to try and make Sellers beat them with his arm, and he couldn't do it. He consistently either overthrew receivers (early season issues) or threw low and behind receivers. I'm not sure what was going on with Sellers, as he just didn't look himself. There were at...
I would take that score right now. We played really well mid-season and not quite as well toward the end. I hope we play at mid-season form for the bowl game.
I'll be the contrarian here. No issue with sitting a bowl game if a player is going pro and is not getting paid. However, if you are being paid NIL for a season, bowl game is part of the season...you should play. With the recent increase in opt-outs, I wouldn't be surprised if future NIL...
SC signed QB Air Norland from Ohio State today out of the portal. Norland was a freshman this season, but did not see any playing time. He will have 4 years to play 4. According to 247 sports, Norland is one of the top 10 QBs in the portal this season.
The first half against Radford was some of the worst basketball I have seen from a South Carolina team. It was bad. If they have a repeat of that same half of performance against an SEC team, they will lose by 20+ points. And through the non-conference part of the season, SC has had frequent...
I'm also hearing that we just signed Andrew Jones, LB from Grambling. He has 1 year of eligibility left and was named SWAC Co-DPOY & SWAC All-American. He had 122 total tackles, including 20.5 for loss and three sacks in 2024.

Justice Haynes. The last word I heard was he was scheduled for a visit here this past Monday. I haven't seen any confirmation that the visit did or did not happen.
Just saw where his visit was rescheduled for tomorrow. So hopefully, he's impressed -- looks like he could be a good replacement...
In my opinion, Belichik will set up an NFL type organizational structure, with himself as Head Coach and GM. Pretty sure a lot of the recruiting will be handled by the other coaches.
At one time there was a sticking point to UNC hiring Belichik over his insistence that his son be named coach...
Getting a HC position is really tough. If he can do well at a G5 school, he'll get P4 offers within a couple of years. And App St is totally a football school, with a really good track record. There are a lot worse schools he could have gone to. IMO, this seems like a good opportunity move...
Well the Middle East just got a whole lot more interesting with the fall of Assad. Hopefully this gives Iran something to think about -- whole Sunni (Syrian rebels) vs Shiite (Iran) thing.
Yep, because expecting an Oline to be good at least once per decade is an unreasonable ask. So whom should we hold responsible? I'd gladly hope that some BOT members would be replaced if that will have a direct effect on the Oline.
Just to provide some NIL context to our talent situation. Supposedly Ohio State spent $30 million to field a team this year. I read somewhere that SC was on the hook for about $7 million this year. We could maybe do about 50% more on an annual basis, but we're never going to win a bidding...
My guess, this is a position in which there will be a lot of interest. I know we are told this on every Carolina hire, but I would think it's definitely true on this one.
