‘all part of the plan,’ Beamer was told on LB Jaishawn Barham who flip to Maryland

“I can’t say that it’s a surprise,” Beamer said during his Wednesday news conference. “When this particular young man committed on Saturday, about 10 minutes later, I got a phone call from somebody in the know up there that said, ‘Just so you know, it’s all part of the plan. He’s going to flip on Wednesday and go to Maryland.’

“So I can’t sit here and tell you that I was shocked.” Beamer did not say who the phone call was from or whether “the plan” was Barham’s or Maryland’s, or both, saying that “you’d have to ask the young man.”

Hey, kids like that you don't need them in the program they are all about me, he probably was mad at Beamer for getting other LB'S   he want's to step in be the guy  on campus be the big man.  Dawn said it best these Freshmen think they know everything some are hard to coach, when they really don't know anything about how to play the game.   Same thing in Football he's better off not being here than coming in and Beamer has to deal with an attitude.

There is some speculation that he was using us to work a better NIL deal in Maryland.   Would not surprise me if that is the case.   College players are now business men and leveraging situations will become more common under the new rules.   Things are getting ready to get even crazier

I hope it falls through just an bad deal I hope he does not win any games , should not say that but you just don't go at it that way.

Carolina Calls with Shane was pretty good last night.

Some dude called in and said we ought to put the Terps on the schedule to show Barham just how much of better program we are than them.  Of course, Shane was diplomatic about it and said we didn't have to play Maryland to know who we are, but the folks in the background were cleared pumped up by the caller's suggestion.

You could tell the mood on Carolina Calls was pretty upbeat.

I don’t blame the kid as young kids all the way up to their mid to late 20s are very impressionable, athletes seem to be more than anyone.  However the coach up there and the family is to blame.  I’m sure what ever business etiquette that Beamer may of used before when recruiting against that college is probably shot.

I would bet that this was all staged by Maryland coach ML to try to create press. The odds that the Terps flipped 3 good players on signing day from name programs are very low. It's a low class move by the coach (assuming the above is true), and also shows a lack of integrity from the players and their families to go along with the scam.
