’23 OT Markee Anderson watched two of his favorites last weekend

Dorman OT Markee Anderson (6-5 280) is one of the marquee players in the state for the 2023 class. His early offer list includes USC, Clemson, Arkansas, Virginia Tech, Florida State, West Virginia and North Carolina. In fact, USC was his first offer back in September of 2020.
Last weekend Anderson visited USC for a second time during the season. He watched the Gamecocks lose to Clemson the annual rivalry game, but he didn’t let the defeat sour his time with the Gamecocks.
It was great honestly. Great atmosphere,” Anderson said. “I think that they are very good in my opinion. The offensive line was very aggressive. You could tell everything they did had meaning to it. There was no loafing around. They were physical off the line.”
Anderson also visited USC for the season opener against Eastern Illinois and made unofficial visits in June and late July.
“I’m treated great down there,” Anderson said. “It’s a very supportive group down there. Family friendly down there.”
Anderson also visited Clemson for a game this season. He picked up his offer from the Tigers in early September.
“Great school, great facilities, overall great program academically,” Anderson said. “It’s a pretty close bond with them I feel.”
Anderson also went to games this season at Georgia and North Carolina. And in the summer, he made other unofficial visits to Virginia Tech and North Carolina.
Anders said he did not grow up rooting for one of the in-state schools over the other, and he doesn’t have a favorite right now. His plan is to move slowly with his recruiting.
“I’m still weighing my options and go on more visits,” Anderson said. “Looking for a place that will feel like home, knowing that if I go there, I’ll be taken care of.”
Clemson has certainly been tied in more to the Dorman program compared to USC. In recent years Dorman grads Adam Humphries, Charone Peake, Brandon Thomas, Mason Trotter and Jordan McFadden made Clemson their college home.
