Getting the sweep over Missouri was huge. Next week the Gamecocks travel to Mississippi State, who is struggling with their pitching and is currently 0-5 in SEC play after getting swept by Kentucky and losing their first two games this weekend in huge fashion to Vanderbilt - they've been out-scored 44-8. Still, playing anyone at their field in the SEC is tough, but should the Gamecocks do well there, they then come back home and host #1 LSU, which will be the biggest test this season thus far. Would be good to get to 9-0 or 8-1 before we play the top teams LSU, Vandy, Florida, and Arkansas.....

I think only injuries, like the one to Will McGillis this weekend, can stop us at this point. We are current 6th in the nation for HBP.

I guess it's because our bats are so dangerous and opposing pitchers are so afraid of getting taken out of the park that they push the angles too far at the plate.
