South Carolina plays its final home games of the regular season with a three-game set against Georgia. Thursday’s game starts at 8 p.m. with Friday at 5:30 and Saturday’s games at 2 p.m., There are still some seats available for all 3 games, but I hope the stadium will be close to full.
We need these to be wins. we swept them in Athens last year, so we need to sweep them at home this year.vs UGA.png

Going to take our best pitching and great offense to beat these guys. They have better batting avg. than us but their pitching has not been as good.

  • Carolina leads the all-time series with Georgia, 72-66, heading into this weekend.
  • The Gamecocks are 41-27 all-time in games in Columbia.
  • Carolina swept Georgia last season in Athens, then won the opening round game of the SEC Tournament, 9-0, as Will Tippett went 3-for-4 with a triple and James Hicks and Cade Austin combined for the shutout.

Went to the game. Beautiful day for one. Too bad we lost.

It was also Senior Day as well. The Gamecocks celebrated Senior Day before the game, honoring Dylan Brewer, Austin Brinling, Gavin Casas, Garrett Gainey, Ty Good, Parker Noland and Dalton Reeves as well as senior manager Matthew Hull, bullpen catcher Aidan Osborne and administrative assistant Julia Harrison. So the disappointing weekend was probably a kick in the gut for the players and their families as well. Hopefully we rebound against the Vols this weekend.
That is a huge drop, but we're lucky we're even still ranked after this weekend at home. Somebody bought the wrong can of "whoop ass" at the grocery store.
