South Carolina class of 2014 tight end/defensive end signee Kalan Ritchie (Goose Creek/Goose Creek) will not enroll at South Carolina for this season, and will instead spend two seasons at Georgia Military College, he announced on his Twitter Monday night.
“Gotta take a lil detour to GMC but only for 2 seasons , be back in cola before you know it,” Ritchie tweeted. “hey at least I can play my first year! it’s not my grades for those who will begin the talk. and I will most def stick with my commitment, no worries on that. Carolina has shown to much care into me , can’t go back on them will def stick with the commitment throughout school !”
Ritchie was another of the Gamecocks’ top recruits for 2014 and a member of the Shrine Bowl team.
