LSU takes the 25-23 lead into halftime. Both teams shot poorly in the 1st half today - 32% for the Gamecocks and 33% for the Tigers. Aliyah Boston leads the Gamecocks with 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 block......

This might be the only other time that South Carolina went into the halftime trailing in the game since the NC State loss, and they trailed 21-20 in a low-scoring affair in that game too......

The offense picks up for both teams in the 3rd period, but South Carolina still trails by two, 45-43. Boston leads the way with another double-double of 13 pts and 10 rebounds, and Brea Beal has 10 pts, but the FT shooting for the team is poor at 8-17 on the day.....

#4/3 South Carolina pulls out the tough 69-65 win over LSU to improve to 12-1, and 7-0 in the SEC. LSU falls to 6-7 and 4-3. Aliyah Boston leads the Gamecocks with 20 pts and 14 rebounds, and Destanni Henderson scores 14 of her 16 pts in the 2nd half, along with 8 assists, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. Zia Cooke adds 11 pts and 2 steals, and Brea Beal adds 10 pts, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. The Gamecocks shot 18-29 (62.1%) in the 2nd half to pull away from a tight game. LSU hit a 3-ptr. at the end-game buzzer to pull within 4.......

Just now realized - today's game in Baton Rouge is the 1st game of a rough 5-game stretch where 4 games will be on the road. We next play at Mississippi State in Starkville on Thursday, then come home for out lone home game during the next two weeks against Alabama, then go back out on the road at Auburn, then to Storrs, CT to play the Huskies. So this will be a concerning stretch of games in the era of Covid-19.....

South Carolina, need to figure an way to shoot free throws, it's going to bite them again soon if they don't

Another game where we sputtered offensively, and a team held their own with us down low.  Not sure if it's a focus issue, or running into some mid-season tiredness, but it doesn't bode well for the upcoming stretch Conway references above.  However, the ladies played strong to close out the game - so give them props for that. They are still fighting.

I have no issue with the way they played, when you're in the top 5 in the country everyone comes to play most of the time all night.  I just think an little work needs to be done on the free throw shooting areas. That's all  it's tough playing on the road different GYM, lights different the floor looks different to you a number different reasons. I heard Dawn say the other day that some of the problem is that they use an Nike ball at some locations when Carolina uses an Wilson, that could be the issue just saying
