2020 3 star LB Desmond Tisdol visting Gamecocks Saturday

LB Desmond Tisdol 6,0" 215lbs of Rochelle, GA was among the 2020 USC targets to visit campus last Saturday for the big junior day. The Gamecocks have offered and Auburn also recently jumped on board. While in Columbia Tisdol got the chance to seen the new football ops building and mingle with the coaches and other recruits.
"I liked everything about the new facility and what stood out the most was the coaches," Tisdol said. "They said I can play anywhere and I will get a degree. I feel like doing something with all the new people that came to South Carolina and I want to go to a place like that and start my own legacy."
Tisdol said he talked a great deal with head coach Will Muschamp, who came by his school two weeks ago, and linebackers coach Coleman Hutzler and got a positive vibe from them.
"They said they were pretty excited," said Tisdol who added that the Gamecocks lead for him at this point ahead of Auburn.
He also has visited North Carolina and Georgia and plans to visit Auburn in March. He will return to USC following his basketball season. He wants to make his decision before next season.
Tisdol said the Gamecocks like him as an inside linebacker. Last season he had 70 tackles with 5 sacks and 1 interception.
