Sorry for the late game thread. Gamecocks lead going into the 9th inning 9-4. Gamecocks starter Brett Kerry pitched a strong game, with 12 strikeouts and 3 earned runs. He had one bad inning in the 2nd inning, giving up all those runs. Eyster hit his 2nd homerun in as many games, and Clarke also added a homerun for the Gamecocks.

9-4 Gamecocks, top 9th:

Bosnic is in to relieve for the Gamecocks. He retires two Crusaders, but walks 3 to load the bases. Daniel Lloyd comes in for Bosnic, and induces the final out for the game on a ground-out to 1B!

The Gamecocks take the series over the Holy Cross Crusaders with the 9-4 win in Game #2, securing the series with the 3rd game yet to be played. Brett Kerry (1-0) earns the win, and Daniel Lloyd picks up his first Save of the season, as he came into the game with the bases loaded, meaning that the game could end up being 9-7 with runs not of his responsibility, and therefore the save was on the table.
