Listening to some games on 107.5 tonight.

Drake upset Wichita St. 53-52 tonight in the First Four to win its first tournament game in 15 years.

Was going to make a comment about Gregg Marshall until I remembered the Shockers let him go last year.

Wichita State basketball coach Gregg Marshall has resigned following an internal investigation into allegations of physical and verbal abuse, the school announced Tuesday.

The school and Marshall agreed to a contract settlement of $7.75 million to be paid over the next six years.

"This was a difficult decision, but one I feel was necessary for my family, the university and, most importantly, the student-athletes," Marshall said. "I remain grateful for my years spent at Wichita State. I wish to thank the coaches, student-athletes, the university, the community, and all of Shocker Nation for their unending dedication, support and loyalty. I am incredibly proud of this men's basketball program and all it has achieved over the past 14 years and am confident of its continued success."

Assistant coach Isaac Brown will serve as the team's interim head coach.

Isaac Brown became the HC after being the interim.

App St. is probably going to lose to Norfolk St.  The announcers mentioned App. State's first appearance in the NCAAT was in 1979 under then head coach Bobby Cremins.  They lost to LSU by a healthy margin that year.

All the First Four games were pretty good. You had 2 1-point games, another that went to OT, and the largest scoring margin was 8. I fell asleep at halftime of the UCLA-MSU game. Was pretty surprised when I saw UCLA came back and won in OT. I guess MSU just imploded at halftime.

Virginia Tech up 33-27 at halftime against Florida.

Colgate with goes on a 22-11 run to lead Arkansas 27-19 with 6:30 left in the first half.

Florida beats VT 75-70 in OT.

Arkansas with a strong second half winds up beating Colgate 85-68. Too bad, as there could have been some good headlines about Colgate surviving by the skin of their teeth.

I was locked into the NCAAT Sunday.

The Loyola-Chicago giant-killers are back and took down #1 seed Illinois 71-58.

I hope everyone associated with our team watched that game, because that was the best basketball game I have watched in a while.  Underwood runs a system similar to Frank's, but the motion the Ramblers used to leverage their big, Krutwieg, is taking that system to the next level.  The Ramblers' defensive rotations were hard to beat.

So now I have a reason to watch the NCAAT.  The Ramblers are just like we were in 2017.

#15 seed Oral Roberts upset Florida 81-78.  Listened to that one on the radio.  Need to watch the replay tonight.  This after they took down #2 seed Ohio St. 75-72 in OT.

I remember going to a home game against ORU, but I couldn't remember when.

It was the 2015-2016 season and we beat them 84-66.  This was the year before ORU brought in current HC Paul Mills.

The Golden Eagles would be a handful if we had to play them now.

I turned off the game between the Trojans and Kansas because neither team looked really good.

The Bruins/Tide game last night was really fun to watch.  Struggles at the FT line cost 'Bama a tourney win last night.

Loyola-Chicago hit the wall against Oregon St. Saturday and lost 65-58.  They were no good on the perimeter and didn't drive to draw fouls and get to the FT line, where they were actually pretty good.

Houston worked Syracuse 62-46 to advance to the Elite 8 and will play Oregon St. next.

Take a look back at our OOC games earlier this season.

We lost to Liberty right off the bat in the first round of the Hall of Fame Classic 78-62, then beat Tulsa 69-58 in the consolation game.

Then we played pretty good in our next game vs. then #10 Houston, but lost 77-67.

Liberty made it to the first round of NCAAT this year, but lost to Oklahoma St. 69-60 as a 13-seed.

Houston may go all the way this year.

All we had to do was put together a decent winning season and we could have made the dance, but the 'rona said otherwise.  The season that could have been.

The 'rona kept VCU, UK, and Duke out of the post-season, too.  We need to hit the reset button and try again next season.

Southern Cal has 2 7 footers. If anyone can hang with Gonzaga it is them. However, Gonzaga is apparently the only team left that believes in passing and running their offensive sets so I think it is their tournament to lose.

Baylor beat Arkansas 81-72 last night.  Seniors vs. Noobs.

Great effort by the Hogs, though.

Houston beat Oregon St. 67-61.

The Beavers tied it at 55 late, but couldn't execute down the stretch.  Great game as well.

Trojans vs. the Zags then UCLA vs. Michigan tonight.  Should be two great games, but I don't get TBS.  I will just have to watch our Texas game tonight instead.  Not a bad thing.  LOL
