The 2nd of the 2021 mystery commits for the women's basketball program head coach Dawn Staley tweeted about has added her name to Bree Hall - 5-star Guard Saniya Rivers out of Eugene Ashley High School in Wilmington, NC committed to the Gamecocks today:
Rivers is the #2 Guard and overall #3 prospect in the ESPN Hoopgurlz rankings. She's also the overall #2 prospect on Prospects Nation and ASGR, and the #6 overall prospect on Blue Star. Rivers is the 2-time Gatorade Player of the Year for NC. Rivers is an athletic player that performs at an elite level on both ends of the court, and has a strong mid-range jumper. If anything she can improve on, it's her shooting distance from the 3-pt. arc, but as long as she's fundamentally sound in her mid-range game (and she is), then its just a matter of getting stronger in the weight room, getting into the gym and getting more comfortable at shooting from the longer distances.....
