South Carolina have in the past been known for offering prospects based largely if not entirely on their showings at summer football camps hosted by the coaching staff, and here is another such occasion: in-state 3-star prospect 6-3, 190 WR Kylic Horton out of Clarendon Hall in Summerton attended Coach Beamer's camp the first week of June, and was offered at that time. Horton plays QB, WR, and DB for Clarendon Hall which plays in an 8-man football league, and was offered as a WR. He has since gotten offers from Coastal Carolina and Virginia Tech.
2022 WR Prospect Kylic Horton (6-3, 190)
Horton performed impressively at the camp, and his measurables - 6-3, 4.4 40 time, 6-10 wingspan, 39" vertical - made him a prospect the staff couldn't pass up. Horton was at first a silent commit but after discussing with his parents he made the pledge public. Horton's commitment was the 9th of the 2022 cycle for South Carolina, and it's first WR commit of the class.
