According to the 247Sports composite, Sandidge is the No. 14 defensive tackle in the Class of 2018. Overall, he’s No. 141. Among prospects from the state of North Carolina, he’s sixth-overall.
The 247Sports Crystal Ball has received 26 predictions for where Sandidge chooses on Wednesday. The Gamecocks were selected on every single reading.
South Carolina, led by coach Will Muschamp, met with Sandidge and his family on Saturday. Coaches from Georgia visited with the family earlier in the week.
Sandidge took official visits to all three of his finalists, but North Carolina’s coaches did not have an in-home visit during the final week before Signing Day. South Carolina was also his final official visit destination.
Does all this mean the Gamecocks will reel in the 6-foot-5, 288-pound prospect?
We’ll find out on Wednesday afternoon. SEC Country, of course, will cover the event at Concord High School.
