For most of the 2014 recruiting cycle, class of 2014 four-star linebacker commitment Bryson Allen-Williams (Ellenwood, Ga./Cedar Grove) was the face of the Gamecocks' class. U.S. Army All-American Bryson Allen-William announced Monday that he will sign with South Carolina. For the last few months, coaches from Alabama and Georgia tested just how strong Allen-Williams' commitment to the Gamecocks is.

Monday night, Allen-Williams gave his answer. "I wanna thank #dawgnation for the support these last couple of days ... but on Wednesday I will be signing with South Carolina #WeCocky," Allen-Williams said on Twitter. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound Allen-Williams committed to the Gamecocks back in April. He was recruited to Carolina by defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward.

Allen-Williams was already a proven commodity on the field and off as a four-star prospect and a leader, but his stock began to soar even more with an excellent performance at the U.S. Army All-American game. Allen-Williams, who is ranked the No. 102 prospect in the country by the recruiting industry, says in the end, it was a simple decision. "I want to be able to create a legacy," Allen-Williams said. "And I feel like I will be able to do that at South Carolina these next four years."
