4-star TE James Mitchell includes South Carolina in top 5

Just days after 4-star tight end James Mitchell visited South Carolina, the 2018 prospect from Big Stone Gap, Va. released a top 5.
Duke, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech made the cut. Mitchell wrote that the list was in no specific order.
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound prospect from Union, Va. is ranked by Rivals as the No. 13 tight end in the Class of 2018. Among prospects from the state of Virginia, he’s sixth-best.
Earlier this spring, at The Opening in Charlotte, N.C., Mitchell ran 4.77 in the 40-yard-dash and vertically jumped just a shade under 30 inches.
Will Muschamp and the South Carolina coaches hosted Mitchell for an unofficial visit on Tuesday. A week earlier, Mitchell visited Georgia.
