4 star WR/TE Jaheim Bell says to look for Friday afternoon commitment

His senior season ended in practice September 23rd when, after catching a pass, WR/TE Jaheim Bell of Valdosta, GA tried to make a move and tore his ACL. He will have surgery in a couple of weeks and doctors have told him he should be good as new in six months. The flip-side of not being able to play anymore this season is Bell apparently has been able to speed up his decision-making process for a college home.
He had set December 18th for an announcement but after a tweet Thursday night about some “big news coming soon,” Bell told SportsTalkSC.com he was planning to announce a commitment Friday afternoon and will put it out via Twitter.
“Probably tomorrow,” Bell said of his announcement plans. “I haven’t got the edit yet. I’m trying to figure out which school I’m going to put in it. I’ve got to talk it over with my family.”
Bell once was a Florida commitment but he broke away from the Gators on July 4th. USC put on a full-court press and he took an official visit with the Gamecocks in June. He returned last month for the Alabama game.
“I feel pretty good about it (South Carolina),” Bell said. “They’ve got a pretty good team. I can see myself catching a lot of balls. They throw the ball pretty well.”
Along with the Gamecocks, Bell said Auburn, Tennessee, Florida State, and LSU have been recruiting him hard.
Bell is considered one of the top offensive talents in Georgia for the 2020 class. In his junior year, he had 70 catches for 800 yards and 14 touchdowns.
