5 prospects who could commit next to South Carolina

With 17 commitments already on board, space is limited in South Carolina’s 2017 signing class.
Though NCAA rules prohibit schools from signing more than 25 prospects in a class, South Carolina has eight remaining spots, assuming junior college placement Javon Kinlaw is still counted with the 2017 haul.
Seven prospects have committed to Will Muschamp during the month of June and the Gamecocks coaches may not be done.
Here are several prospects worth watching, as the end of the month approaches:
Running Back No. 2
South Carolina already holds a commitment from 3-star running back Kyshaun Bryan, but the plan is to take one more with this class. At least three candidates have emerged.
Chase Hayden, a 3-star from Collierville, Tenn., visited South Carolina last weekend and a decision could be on the horizon. The No. 31 ranked running back in the class of 2017 is also believed to be heavily considering Arkansas and Michigan. Tennessee was a factor, but it would appear that the Vols aren’t pushing for a commitment.
Another option is Green Cove Springs, Fla. 4-star Colin Wilson, who was on campus earlier this month. The No. 13 ranked running back has also taken trips to Louisville and Notre Dame this summer. A decision is expected before the end of the summer.
South Carolina continues to be in good shape for 3-star Jalen Holston (Stockbridge, Ga.). Vanderbilt, Duke and Virginia Tech are also in the mix. Holston is the No. 44 running back in the class of 2017.

On Monday, the 4-star offensive tackle from Mallard Creek High School (Charlotte, N.C.) announced on Twitter that he had some “big news coming soon…”
The assumption would be Moore is ready to make a commitment. South Carolina has been factor since the early stages of his recruitment. Plus, the Gamecocks hold a commitment from his teammate, 3-star offensive lineman Eric Douglas.
Moore told Phil Kornblut of sportstalksc.com that South Carolina and Tennessee are even. Before his conversation with Kornblut, Moore spoke with South Carolina offensive line coach Shawn Elliott.
“He called me and we had a good conversation. I’m probably going to call the Tennessee coach (Tuesday) and make sure I’ve got a full scholarship,” Moore said. “It’s a really hard decision. hey are both great schools with great academics, great coaches and great players. It’s going to be a hard decision.”

The No. 7 strong-side defensive end in the country visited South Carolina earlier this month, just a few weeks after his personal meeting with coach Will Muschamp. Tennessee and Auburn have also had him on campus in June.
Webb is scheduled to return to South Carolina again in the fall, for an official visit on Oct. 8.
