The one he is waiting on, however, is Kentucky, and Tuesday Wildcats' coach John Calipari met with Hawkins at his school. Hawkins expects to learn Friday if Kentucky will offer. That offer is expected to end his recruiting. If UK does not offer, Hawkins is likely to set up official visits with USC and others. Louisville has offered him as a walk-on but his coach has said he will only choose a school which has offered.

PG Dominique Hawkins of Richmond, KY was named his state's Mr. Basketball Friday night. He did not follow that up with a college commitment announcement as many had forecast. Hawkins, who holds offers from USC and Purdue, is waiting on an offer from Kentucky. He met earlier in the week with Wildcats' coach John Calipari but as of Friday night an offer had not been extended. The UK coach apparently is still sorting things out with his roster for next season. Hawkins will now wait until after his spring break this week before making a decision. He also has offers from Tennessee Tech, Morehead State and Western Kentucky, and Louisville has invited him to walk-on, but he is waiting on the word from Calipari before moving forward.
