We won the game. We did not look the best but we found a way to pull away in the 4th. Boston and Herbert-Harrington had uncharacteristically bad nights shooting -- even easy shots. Just one of those nights where nothing would fall. Both came alive in the 4th. Temple had a few players who played above their ability. We definitely got their A game. But in the end it wasn't enough. An win is a win. Hopefully we learned something and let's move on to the next one!

Tough shooting day for several Gamecocks. They actually had a decent game shooting outside the 3-pt. line and at the charity stripe, but any shots closer to the basket were hard to come by. The first off-game for Freshman Aliyah Boston as a Gamecock, proving that she is in fact human. But the team survives their 5th straight game away from home, and they are 4-1 in that span, losing only to a good top 15 Indiana team.

Now they play a good stretch at Colonial Life Arena, and it's a solid stretch of opponents too: Purdue (currently 6-2 and RPI of 37) next Sunday, Duke (6-3 and 24 RPI) Thursday week, South Dakota (9-1 and 13 RPI, and getting votes for the top 25), Sunday Dec. 22nd, and the SEC season-opener against current 15th-ranked and undefeated Kentucky (8-0 and 20 RPI). That stretch should result in some outstanding home game attendance numbers....

These are the games where the Lady's can show what they got and hopefully after going 4-0 let everyone know they are back to Championship form.
