Wide receiver Randrecous Davis (Atlanta, Ga./Mays) made an official visit to South Carolina this past weekend and needless to say, the Gamecocks made a big impression.
“The trip was awesome,” he said. “I loved everything down here. The coaches, the players and everybody is just cool and fun to be around. It made me feel like I was at home.”
Davis, a former Georgia commit, had the Gamecocks and Miami tied at the top for his services heading into the visit. That has changed.
“I’ve got to go home and decide what I want to do,” Davis said. “I think South Carolina has a little edge because of the people around and the people that I know up here.”
He plans to announce on signing day. Gamecocks wide receivers coach/co-offensive coordinator Bryan McClendon is his USC recruiter of record. Davis is a three-star prospect per 247Sports Composite rankings for the 2016 cycle.
