Breaking: A USC Presidential candidate will meet with students, faculty and staff on Microsoft Teams tomorrow, per an email to the USC community with less than 24 hours of notice. The candidate's name and resume will be announced tomorrow.

Makes a ton of sense. Basically had a very popular run as the #2 man on campus as the provost, so the academic affairs side of the equation should be very happy with the choice.

 
"He was promoted to provost in 2009 soon after Pastides took the president’s office. He became interested in leading a college, including applying to run Florida State University. 

He eventually took over at University of Illinois Chicago where he launched a $750 million fundraising campaign and helped the college reach a school-record $400 million in research awards."

He seems like the right guy to get the school back on track from a revenue and direction standpoint.
