This article says we will gain a recruiting advantage with more access to the state of Texas. I don't see that at all. We have had Arkansas as our cross division rival and we haven't recruited a bunch of players from Arkansas, have we?

I don't see it. Don't know why these media people say stuff like this. Why on earth would anyone think that a texas kid would come all the way to SC to play their football just so they can play against A&M? That makes zero sense. If they don't like A&M they can always play elsewhere. Its not like A&M is the only team in texas. There are examples.. Brian Bosworth grew up in texas but hated them so when OU offered he accepted. Playing against texas was a reason to play for OU but not the only reason he chose OU. If SC offers some texas kids to play at SC then possibly some will come but its not because of their hatred for A&M. Thats silly.
