Four-star cornerback Jaycee Horn visited South Carolina on Saturday night for the Clemson game. On Sunday afternoon, he de-committed from Tennessee.
Horn, a 2018 prospect from Alpharetta (Ga.) High School, posted the announcement on Twitter.
“This is one of the hardest decisions I’ve made,” Horn wrote. “But ultimately I have to make the best decision for me.”
The 6-foot, 180-pound prospect committed to former Vols coach Butch Jones during an exclusive Facebook Live announcement with SEC Country in August.
According to the 247Sports composite, Horn is the No. 23 cornerback in the Class of 2018. Overall, he’s listed as the No. 217 prospect in the country. Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State are among the other schools that have offered Horn, who is the son of former Pro Bowl wide receiver Joe Horn.
The Gamecocks currently list commitments from three defensive backs: 4-star Marlon Character Jr., a junior college prospect from Atlanta Ga. who began his career at Auburn, to go along with 3-stars Jonathan Gipson (Hoschton, Ga.) and R.J. Roderick (Summerville, S.C.).
