Jan. 25, 2015
South Carolina cornerback commit Damon Arnette (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) said 'we're good, we're good right now' about the Gamecocks and his status following his weekend official visit to South Carolina.
Arnette, who officially visited Michigan last week, said he still plans to officially visit Ohio State January 30.
"I should have my final decision after that," Arnette said.
He said Michigan is still his "number two" school behind South Carolina.
Arnette said the highlight of his South Carolina official visit was "right when I got there."
"Coach (Steve) Spurrier said we have the chance to be the best recruiting class coming in," Arnette said.
Saturday, Arnette said they ate lunch, went to the basketball game, went to a "game place" for dinner and he hung out with his player-host, Gamecocks cornerback Al Harris, Jr., a former high school teammate.
Arnette said he thinks Ohio State coach Urban Meyer will be by for an in-home visit later this week. He said he plans to call Ohio State later this afternoon. Ohio State sent a pair of assistant coaches by his school last week.
Spurrier conducted his official visit last week. Arnette said he feels Michigan will be by later this week as well but he's not sure of any of the dates of the in-home visits.
