It was a three way race for OL Landon Dickerson 6'5 277lbs of Hudson, NC before he visited Auburn Saturday. Now, there are four teams at the top of his list with the Tigers joining USC, Tennessee and Virginia Tech as his favorites in no order.
“The overall feel of it, it kind of reminded me of my hometown,” Dickerson said of Auburn. “Coach Malzone and Coach Lashley me it feel like I was the only guy there (there was a seven on seven camp going on). I sat down with Coach Malzone three different times.”
Dickerson attended USC’ recent Showcase camp and got another good look at the Gamecocks and the program.
“It was good to go back down and get around campus, kind of explore and see what I hadn’t seen before,” Dickerson said. “Coach Elliott is looking for me to be a versatile player and plug me in wherever he needs me. He’s my kind of coach.”
Dickerson said is next visit will be to Florida State in July. And don’t look for a decision from him anytime soon. ‘
“I’m not looking to rush into a commitment,” he said. “I’m going to be open for a long time and take a few official visits.”
Dickerson said he talked with USC last week.
