Source: Auburn AD Allen Greene met with seven or eight veteran players this evening to address the uncertainty around Bryan Harsin’s future. He delivered a simple message — stay the course and control what you can control, as there’s no clarity. Team operating as normal.
As Auburn officials decide Bryan Harsin's future, worth noting that he's owed $18.3 million of his remaining salary. Of that money, half of that ($9.15 million) would be due in 30 days. The other half in quarterly payments over the next year, starting on July 15.

Auburn coaches have gone on planned vacation post-signing day. Bryan Harsin is out of the country. People in the program don’t know what’s next. “We’re not hearing anything,” one staff member told The Athletic.
What happened?
Auburn is trying to figure out how to fire their coach "for cause."
I’ll be interested to see how the Clemhorroids do over the next two years. They lost their best coaches, in my opinion, their recruiting dropped, and they lost some good players. I don’t want to make predictions, but I believe they are on the decline. Time will tell. All things are cyclical.
I looked at their schedule for 2022 and it's weak even for their cupcake standards. I'll be surprised if they don't make the CFP.
Auburn's AD must be worse than most.

Apparently Auburn has a severe case of big time donors that have been allowed to run the program.
"Harsin's future is in question 413 days after leaping to the helm of one of the SEC's most storied programs. The Montgomery Advertiser reported Feb. 4 that Harsin, in his first season as Auburn's coach, created "a divisive culture in which relationships with certain players were neglected and staff members felt ignored," according to multiple sources with direct knowledge of the inner workings of the program. Auburn finished 6-7, which included five straight losses to end the season.
There are more signs of dysfunction. Auburn did not sign a single prospect during the National Signing Day period earlier this month. Defensive coordinator Derek Mason took a $400,000 pay cut to move from Auburn to Oklahoma State after one season. Austin Davis, hired on Dec. 18 as the Tigers' offensive coordinator following Mike Bobo's departure after one season, resigned as Auburn offensive coordinator following 43 days on the job. In addition, 19 players have entered the transfer portal since season's end."

Despite is lack of success in the SEC as HC, Will Muschamp still has pretty strong ties to Auburn. Would they take a chance on him to correct the culture or would he rather stay as an assistant with the reigning national champs at his alma mater?
It sounds like essentially the same situation he was brought into clean up at UF. Just sayin'...

Nothing like a coach that has been fired from 2 other SEC schools. Maybe 3rd time is the charm.

I generally believe Will would be one to try getting a HC job again in the near future. He DID have some success here in Year 2 and beat Jim Harbaugh's Michigan team in a bowl game. You can't take that and the good parts of Year 3 away from him.

Jake could possibly have ended up at #2 if he had stayed and had a 1000-yd. season if things had worked out better.
I believe Will could be a successful HC if he figured some things out, but he was also successful at Auburn, too and is still well-thought-of there. Shawn Elliott had to learn some things, too, to be successful at GSU, too.
Will also has guys from here in the NFL, too.
It could happen.

I was always pulling for Muschamp. I liked the guy, and really thought he would have learned, and not made the same mistakes here that he did in Florida, but apparently not. I also think toning his personality down helped ruin him here.
Apparently Harsin's dad called in to Paul FB to defend him and his recruiting.
