Nobody knows who you are if you don't make a name for yourself on game day. Even then you have to worry about fitting into someone's marketing box.
Most high school players have done absolutely nothing to earn NIL before they get to a college program.
I think this is the year the NIL bubble bursts for most players other than those at the more successful programs.
