Beamer: Give Texas A&M credit, they look like a top of the line SEC team, never made the QB uncomfortable, felt good about their chances to play well coming in, had a good week of practice and good focus in meetings

Beamer: They played about a bad a first half you can play in all three phases.

Beamer: Proud of the team's effort, no other team he'd rather coach, guys are hurting in the locker room, saw some good things from some of the young players, they are a beat up team, got to get healthy and get better this week.

Beamer: Feels like they are better than a 4-4 team, have to continue to work to get better, need the home field advantage to help them with their three remaining home games. 

Beamer: Texas A&M was the most impressive group of defense they've seen since Georgia; his team has got to perform better, they've got to be able to block, they are an SEC team as well, tried different things to try and help the QBs in pass protection. #Gamecocks

Beamer: Thought they had a great plan going in, it didn't go quite like they thought. 

Beamer: When you play like they did tonight, you have to evaluate everything. Didn't play great anywhere, and that includes coaching.

Agreed, I hate constant naysayers and grousers but we didn't look anything like a 4-4 team ... we are lucky to have gotten 3 of those 4.

The only game we definitely should have won by our performance was Eastern Ill.  I am happy we found ways to beat ECU, Troy and Vandy, but those happened in less than spectacular fashion.  My expectations were low for sure based on last year and a new staff.  Maybe I am really underestimating what our last staff did to this team.

Thread wandering……the release about Joe Lee Dunn dying said he publically pursued the head coaching job but we picked Sparky Woods instead.  When the fork in the road came before us, we picked pretty bad.  The picking always seems to be pretty bad.  Maybe we should get different pickers.  Our recent picks across the board haven’t done anything but get a whole bunch of severance checks cut.
