Best case: We regain our offensive stride, win out, beating UF-K, Arky, Wofford and most importantly the Taters; then play in a New Years Day bowl and win it to finish 11-2 for the best two years in our program's history and once again finish the year in the Top 10.
Worst case: Our offense has irretrievably lost its way, the wheels are off the cart, the defense throws up its hands at the lack of output by the offense, and a ripple effect spreads through the team. The coaches are unable to stop the bleeding, and we lose out to all (including top 10 FCS team Wofford) and finish 6-6 and decline a bowl bid. SOS, at the end of his rope, and unwilling to go through another collapse like this one, retires.
The crazy thing is, both these scenarios are entirely plausible, given what we have seen. This next game will decide it - it is the hinge - lose it, and I just think the opportunity is there for an Auburn-esque collapse. Win it and the ship is righted going into Arky, which all of a sudden looks way more like the old Arky than the joke team it was to start the year. Wofford will give us fits, regardless; and the Tater game will all hinge on our mental state based on what has transpired in the previous four games.
