Big 12 dissolution means Texas, Oky to join sooner, maybe 2022?

The announcement of the "alliance" yesterday between the ACC, Pac-12, and Big 10 spells final doom for the Big 12 - pundits saying now that Oky State and Kansas State will move to the Pac 12, Kansas and ISU to the Big 10, and WVA going to the ACC ... which would mean Texas and Oky could begin play in the SEC as early as 20222 should the above go down as expected.

I am not surprised at all.  There was no way in the world that Texas and Oklahoma were going to wait till 2025.  I fully expect them to be in the league next year.

What about the other Big 12 teams?  Baylor, TCU and Texas Tech?  I guess they are just effed?  I understand why this is happening, but I think in the short term this is really screwing up college ball and conferences.  In the long term it may work out fine, but that remains to be seen.

Good question ... Bring on the Big 3! Or merge into the Mountain West?

Where will all this end? When we joined the SEC it was called super conference with 12 teams. Many thought it was too big. Most conferences at the time were 8-10 teams. You pretty much play every team every year.

Now with 14, 16 teams per conferences, it's what? 6 years before you play some of these teams again. I personally don't care for it. But nobody asked me....

I am not crazy about either Spur.  But, it's what they are going to do.  All about the money for sure.

I don't think it will ever "end;" as long as there is money to be made, anyway.

I predict Oklahoma will join Sooner because that's who they are.  LOL

Seriously, this league expansion talk seems to be a lot like the stock market with its meme stocks.

Both are about money and you're a dang fool to believe all the talk right now.

The Meme SEC.
