Bobby Petrino has taken another financial hit from the fallout of being fired by Arkansas.

The former Razorbacks coach sold his home in Fayetteville at a loss of $550,000, according to a warranty deed filed Monday that was obtained by the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal.

Petrino bought the 8,741-square foot home that sits on nearly three acres in March of 2008 for $2.25 million.

After two years on the market it finally sold for $1.7 million, about $300,000 below the asking price of $1.99 million.

Petrino was fired in April after it was revealed he had an inappropriate relationship with a female employee, who was riding with him when he crashed his motorcycle.

As part of the action by Arkansas, Petrino forfeited his salary from a contract that averaged around $3.5 million per year through 2017.

The Razorbacks hired former assistant John L. Smith to lead the team this season.
