On senior WR Shi Smith, "he is good to go "for Saturday night's" game at Kentucky. ” Bobo said, “Shi went through the (concussion) protocol,. “He’s practiced all week. He wants to play. He wants to be with his team. how he’s practiced. moving on to other players on the injury front. Junior linebacker Ernest Jones is out, after suffering an ankle injury against Georgia. Senior defensive lineman Jabari Ellis hasn’t practiced all week, though Bobo didn’t rule him out for Kentucky. He's questionable to play against the Wildcats.
Bobo did say “We think (Ellis) is going to be ready to go,” Bobo said, “But he hasn’t really practiced all week. A guy that’s a vet, who we had to move to end, so he’s played some end for us. We’re obviously thin up front with the front seven and thin with experience in the secondary, too.”
Redshirt sophomore running back Deshaun Fenwick and junior defensive end Kingsley Enagbare won't be available this weekend. Bobo said previously that Fenwick tested positive for Covid-19. Neither played against Georgia.Senior defensive lineman Keir Thomas was doubtful, as of the team's latest injury update. At best, he would be a game-time decision, though he may not travel with the team. Freshman defensive lineman Jordan Burch is probably out, too.
