Pitcher Ynoa just put one in the seats.  He is hitting and pitching a great game tonight.

Yeah he is yet another exciting young prospect coming out of the Braves organization.  IMO the Braves have one of the best farm systems in MLB.  Hope the hot bats continue for everyone.

Outside of that start about 2 weeks ago, Ynoa has been impressive so far this year. I have to admit that I wasn't so sure about him after his short stints in 2019 and 2020. You could tell he had the stuff, it was just a matter of putting it all together.

I don't know if I would say Atlanta's farm system is one of the best anymore (at least from a future talent perspective). I would probably rank them in about the 13-16 range. All of the players that made the farm system one of the best are now in the majors, or at least shuttling between MLB and AAA/Alternate site. There are a couple of guys to watch for (like Drew Waters), but definitely not as many as a few years ago.

Welp, I'm now officially worried. I know it's still early but damn something is missing.

Starting pitching - Average to mediocre

Bullpen - Mediocre to bad

Offense - Mediocre

Defense - OK

They need a healthy Fried and Soroka.

The offense hasn't been very good outside of Acuña. They have too many good hitters that it should turn around.

As long as the East stays like it is (Nats are .500, everybody else below .500), they will stay in striking distance.

Right now the only reason to watch is to see if Acuña can get a 40-40 season.

The NL East is the worst division in baseball. The Mets are the only team above with a winning record. Just gotta keep hanging around and hope they put it together.

I'm beginning to wonder if there's something going on in the club house?

With Acuña going down for the rest of the year, I have pretty much checked out of this baseball season.

The NL East is so bad this year. It's crazy to think with both the Phillies and Braves hovering around .500 that the Mets can't get a lot of separation in the standings. Given the Mets' propensity for meltdowns, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't win the division.
