Can someone tell me what happen to my friends at Gamecocknation.net. Just realized the site is gone. Thanks 

 
I too wonder I noticed the site was not loading a month or so ago when I tried to access it. I was not the most frequent poster on the site although I posted and followed it all the way back when it was started from Gamecock Anthem after that site got abandoned by Scout.com. They have a twitter account (@GNationNet) that still retweets other accounts, but I left a msg there asking about their website and never got a response. I do not know if they have a facebook account.....

 
Is that BadCock and that crew?  Was an admin there before we started OOTS - hope all those guys are OK.

 
Thanks I know the crew on my old site the son and Dad before they took over scouts worked for me. Great folks

Bad, Brat, and that whole crew are good people. I actually wrote a letter of rec for Doug when he took over that Scout site from Rusty ... would be great if they came over here.

If they have shuttered along with Cocktalk that would really be too bad. Independent boards are really important.

 
Badcock was a mod here would welcome him back but I knew his loyalty was with Doug. Yep all from GamecockNation are more the welcome fine crew of poster and their devoted love for all things Gamecock.

 
I was on Cocky Talk too. I came here when they closed. The only other site I've tried is SB Nation, but when I tried to join it kept saying I got the security question wrong . I see now it doesn't even have a join/log on page.  Anyway, I like this site just fine.

 
I've been surfing around (duff18) these sites for a long time.  OOTS and Cockytalk were two fo my favorites.  I would think independent sites have their challenges with maintenance and fees, but enjoy them the most.  I was over on the 24/7 site and just stop going over there.  Their "public" forums are anything but.  All click bait to sign up for a fee.  

I digress, this site seems to be taking shape quite nicely with a lot of the posters here that were scattered around the independent sites over the past several years......

Agreed. A ton of rancor on the big boards with any tidbit being blacked out. Glad you liked OOTS, duff. I hope we can get as many of that old guard from these three sites - GCN, CT and OOTS - to come here, because this board is the most like all three of those used to be.

 
I have news site I follow out of state. It allows me to keep up with news and friends from when I lived there for a few years. The site twice a year has a  donation period (2 Weeks) to help with operating cost. He will accept anything of value ($$$ welcome) to keep the site up. I suggested that to CockyTalk but nothing happened. I would have been happy to donate something.

I too miss it but am enjoying learning this one.

 
Lots of ransomware attacks out there for a while now.

Hopefully that didn't happen to them.
