Carolina Panthers 2021 thread

One of the things I thought when I read this was that how could a college player who was so incredibly mediocre make it on a pro roster for what - three years? the answer of course is that he was a better player than he was ever allowed to show because our "DB whisperer" of a head coach never let him show how good he actually was? Sorry to hear about JT and I hope he gets another shot elsewhere.

 
Shi Smith to get playing time today.  Coach said 15 plays.   He was on last week’s game and played well.  I hope he blows up today

I really don't understand this move.  They are not in the mix to do anything this season, but keep making moves like they have a legitimate shot at making a run in the post season.  They need to take their lumps get another high draft pick and figure out the quarterback thing in the off season.  Gilmore has played top-level football since arriving, but the offense is terrible and I really am starting to question Joe Brady as a play caller.  His offense is predictable and they may have slapped the guru tag on him too early.  I hope I am proven wrong all the way around, but I really don't care to watch Cam overthrow receivers all day and celebrate 1st downs while losing.

Still holding onto the ball too long and has no touch on the short passes in the middle of the field.  Oh well.  Maybe next year. 

 
And just like that the old poor passing Cam is back.   Not many history students on the coaching staff apparently
