Carroll and Gamecocks could still happen?

4 Star RB Lovasea Carroll 6'1" 189lbs of Warrenton, GA and IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL is back in USC’s recruiting plans. Perhaps, he was never out of them. Carroll was the Gamecocks’ 1st commitment for the 2021 class last May 5th. But he decommitted September 1st, not because he had a problem with the Gamecocks but because he was just in the 11th grade and felt he had shut things down too soon. For awhile, his contact with USC cooled, but it’s hot again, to the point where the Gamecocks will be a factor with him for a second time.
“I never lost respect for them or lost interest in them,” Carroll said. “It just happened. I still talk to them and I’m still considering them when I make my decision. I still have a good feeling about them. They’ve got something great going down right now, and I’d like to be a part of that, and that will make my decision most likely a Gamecock one day.”
Despite that optimistic approach towards the Gamecocks, Carroll said he still has several other major programs coming after him, such as Georgia, Florida, Ohio State, Penn State, Auburn, LSU, Nebraska and Oklahoma. He said his plan is to take his official visits this spring and summer and then make his next decision. He actually was in Columbia a few weeks ago, but that was for visiting family in the area, not for recruiting purposes.
Carroll missed some time last season due to a shoulder injury. He did play in 8 games rushing for 571 yards on just 57
