"Coach Muschamp is my coach. That's the message. He will be my coach through the end of the season," Caslen said. “And then, just like any other coach that's out there, whether it's a soccer coach, whether it's the equestrian coach, whatever, they're going to do an end-of-year assessment, the athletic director does. Then, we'll see what’s up.”

By comparing the situation at Army and the firing of Ellison to Muschamp the author insinuates that Muschamp will be fired but I don’t expect that this year.

but maybe it’s good that all this is swirling around and will do something to put a fire under Muschamp.

Lt Gen Caslen: “We could easily be 6 and 4. There are some things that have to be addressed in discipline, turnovers and penalties,” Caslen said, alluding to the fact that Carolina is ranked 55th among 130 Division I bowl subdivision teams in turnovers lost and 96th in penalty average.

“If you play disciplined football, then you're not going to have the turnovers, you're not going to have the penalties,” Caslen said. “If you're going to win games in the Southeastern Conference, you better put about 30 or 35 points on the board. You only get the ball 10 or 12 times a game, which means you're going to have to score half the time you get the ball. We can't afford to turn the ball over.

Excellence means you're playing with discipline and you're playing with mental and physical toughness, that you pound people for one quarter, two quarters, three quarters, so that their tongue is hanging on the ground in the fourth quarter, and you have the perseverance to win the fourth quarter.”
How often does a college president make comments like this? And Lt Gen Caslen has played CFB as well as much more....he clearly has the insight to make these kinds of comments.

You know maybe all the hell and grief Boom getting might light a fire under him. Can lightning strike twice. Boom was catching it during the week leading up to the Georgia game. Would love to see that team show up the last to games against A&M & Clemson. .

Well as odd and disappointing as this season has been to this point, for better or for worse, the team has been ending streaks since game one. They ended winning streaks against UNC, Mizzou, App St., and Tennessee. They ended losing streaks against UGA and Kentucky. Maybe two more streaks come to an end?

The question I have is if you don't fire Champ how in the hell is he going to get anyone worth a crap to come and run this offense next year with the board and now the president basically saying if not for the buyout he would be toast.  This whole circus show is almost as bad as the performance on the field.  Either fire his ass now or just shut the hell up and say everything will be evaluated at the end of this season and leave it at that.

Will is basically in the same position that Dabo was after the WVU bowl game and before he beat us and turned the corner.

I would rather see Will figure things out and keep movin' forward.

TAMU and CLEM are winnable games if the guys stay up mentally for the games.

I would like to see us strangle the sheot out of Clemson's offense and get the win to finish the season off.

Nope....they went 10-4 and won their conference that season ('11). That was Swinney's 4th season.

This discussion wouldn't be happening if Muschamp was on the way to winning 10 games.

Good point!  I haven’t thought of that.

I think they will definitely come to play but I just hope we are full speed.  If we are, we can make a game of it.

I thought the same thing not too long ago but the taters opened the purse and paid top dollar for coordinators.  USC probably won't do that.
