This sucks.....

Two days after verbally committing to South Carolina, four-star wide receiver Cavin Ridley has decided to back off his pledge.

Ridley needs more time and posted his reasoning Monday on Twitter:

In regards to my college decision

Ridley, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound pass-catcher rated as nation's 32nd best WR according to the 247Sports Composite, committed to the Gamecocks after Saturday's Under Armour All-American Game in Orlando, Fla. The playmaker from Deerfield Beach, Fla., is the brother of former five-star Alabama signee and current freshman sensation Calvin Ridley.

Ridley's decision to reopen his recruitment leaves South Carolina with 18 players in its 2016 class, including four who have already signed letters of intent.

Alabama is believed to be the favorite for Ridley's services and is trending at 77 percent according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball.

The kid is going thru a lot in making this decision.  Tons of pressure on him to go to Bama.

That we got his attention is pretty impressive.

If we can get him back, we'll be on our way to resuming our winning ways.

How true ShepCock had a feeling this might happen feel for sure he will go with Bama now...

Cavin Ridley
Two days after saying he was going to USC as an early enrollee, WR Cavin Riley Ridley of Deerfield Beach, FL Monday announced on Twitter he has not made a 100% decision about his college plans and needs more time to sort things out. Ridley has been deciding between the Gamecocks and Alabama where his brother Calvin is a star freshman receiver.

Ridley played in the Under Armour All American Game Saturday but was not one of the uncommitted players scheduled to announce a pledge.  But after the game, after being approached by a reporter he knows, Ridley said he was going to go with the Gamecocks.  In a follow up phone interview, Ridley confirmed his plans though he said he needed more time to think about things and wasn’t sure if he would enroll this week.

“The process or choosing which college has been very, very stressful and challenging for me,” Riley wrote on Twitter. “My situation was made even more difficult because there were major coaching changes in all of my finalists.  I’ve decided I need more time to make this extremely critical decision about my future.  If I’m able to make a solid decision before the spring semester starts I will, if not, I will consider giving up my early enrollee status to gather more information to aid me in my decision.  I would like to truly apologize to the South Carolina coaches and fans and just pray that you guys understand what I’m going through.”

I really did not expected he will back up, I'm a bit disappointed
