Hot Seat Rankings: Clay Helton, Jeremy Pruitt among coaches feeling heat as 2019 unfolds

These college football coaches have some work to do if they hope to survive the 2019 season

Rutgers has gotten a head start on the silly season. Before we even had the opportunity to reconsider where coaches sit on the hot seat now five weeks into the 2019 season, a seat has already been made vacant.

Chris Ash's firing reinforces that athletic directors are more likely than ever to pull the trap door during the season. Still, job security should dominate this offseason after 27 schools changed coaches (20 percent of FBS) last offseason. There is still a honeymoon period, after all.

But as we reconsider the hot seat from July, there is reason to believe there will be coaching upheaval in at least one program in four of the Power Five conferences. (VIEW FULL ARTICLE)

Dang, this will make all the "Fire Coach Muschamp Crowd" go insane, as nothing he does will make them change their tiny minds!  Sort of reminds you what another Head Guy is having to deal with all the time up in D.C.!!!!

I am not saying he should even be on the hot seat, but I am not saying he should not be either. We just really need a better offensive coordinator unless McClendon calls plays like he did against Kentucky the rest of the season. In my personal opinion, if we are at the record we are this same time next year, some things need to be addressed.

Like I said in another thread, Muschamp is not going anywhere mostly due to the buyout. And even if that wasn't a factor, it's still best to hang on to him for a few more years.

Hot seat lists are like polls....the only thing that matters is how you finish. If you still got a job at the end of the season, you're good.
