I'd be all for it. Teams that are tired of dealing with the red tape and BS of being in certain leagues, should most definitely do their own thing. One of two things will happen; Either they will form something better, and everyone else will adapt to them, or they will fail, and go back to where they were. Competition is a wonderful thing for the consumer or fan.
Based on the article, that Division C would be BRUTAL! I also believe that in the format laid out in the article, you would see Clemson fade a bit after a while. Although right now they would dominate, I do believe that the format would create more parity, and they wouldn't do well with the constant cupcake schedule they are used to.
